How to Tap Into Your Intuition…With Trees!

Trying to tap into your intuition in order to gain insights to an ongoing problem? Tried meditating, journaling and talking it out but nothing seems to work?

Well, sometimes all it takes is getting quiet and going out for a walk in nature. Specifically, setting the intention to connect with the trees. Yes, that’s right. Trees.

Spending time in nature is beneficial for so many reasons. Nature has a therapeutic effect on us. Hiking in the mountains or simply listening to a sound masking of rustling forest trees can be relaxing and rejuvenating. Most people tend to sleep better and have more energy after being out in nature.

I’m not talking about becoming a tree hugger. But if you want to hug a tree, by all means, more power to you.

See, we all energetic in nature. As you may recall from science class, we are made up of atoms. Atoms are continuously giving off and absorbing light and energy…even when we sleep.

The atoms of every cell in the body is structured in such a way that it has a negative and positive voltage. Basically, every cell in our body is like a miniature battery.

The Chinese call this life force energy “chi”. Other cultures call it prana, universal life force, or Reiki. Essentially, it is the energy used in hands-on and distance holistic healing.

Plants and animals communicate through energetic vibrations. They can sense whether the energy is good for them or not.

So that brings us back to tapping into our ability as energetic beings. When we connect with the energy of our environment, we are able to create space to download insights from the Universe.

But back to the trees. Regardless of the season, placing your hand on a tree allows you to access nature’s messages.

This could be insights on the weather to your ongoing problem that doesn’t seem to ever get resolved. Some say touching a tree can also equalize your energetic frequency with that of the Earth.

Trees are the antennas of the planet. You know the saying “as above, so below”? Well, that’s how trees operate. Their roots are embedded into the Earth. Their trunks, leaves, and branches reach up towards the Universe.

Thus, a lot of information from the Universe can be channeled through the energetic frequencies transmitted via trees.

In ancient times, Native Americans, Aborigines, and many other cultures were able to manage their livelihoods, heal themselves, understand the weather by connecting to the Earth. No special app or weather doppler needed!

Ages ago, people were connected to the ground (grounded) at all times. They walked around barefoot, worked in agriculture, lived in huts with mud floors, and were just out doors more often that present day peeps.

Our ancestors’ bodies naturally achieved a balanced state with energy from the Earth constantly flowing through them. They followed the seasons very closely because life was built around the fall, spring, winter and summer.

They lived a lifestyle “close to the earth”.

In the today’s world, our modern homes and offices tend to seclude us from the seasons. Also, our daily routines mirror this “insulation” as well.

Regardless of the weather outside, we get up and go to work. We generally live the same way, day in, day out, month to month, season to season.

In many ways, living a modern lifestyle allows us to stay productive all year long. Plus, it is nice not having to save food during the fall season in preparation for the winter. It is also nice not having to be outside when it’s below freezing!

But even in these advanced times, it’s helpful to understand what is going on in nature as doing so can benefit our personal lives. After all, we are made up of energy. Essentially, we are a part of nature.

So if you can’t quite seem to get out of that funk, maybe it’s time to get out of your head and get grounded. Go out in nature.

You don’t even have to live near a mountain or forest! Just go out to the yard, park, or any place with a tree. When you place your hands on the tree, set the intention to get quiet and perceive energetic answers.

No need to stand outside all day touching the tree. Even just a minute is fine. The main thing is setting the intention. After all, energy flows where intention goes!

The intuitive hits may not come instantaneously but notice if you are able to gain insights later on in the week…maybe even in your sleep or when you’re brushing your teeth! After all, when the mind is still, that’s when the answers start to pop up.
