3 Ways to Bounce Back From Rock Bottom

resilience, positive mindset, silver lining, comeback, courage, confidence, personal development

We all have reached a breaking point at one point or another in life. What’s the best way to bounce back after hitting rock bottom?

In 2013, I hit a wall in my personal and professional life, for the zillionth time. If you haven’t read my previous articles, my love life fell apart and I was at my wits end with my career path.

I did my best to stay positive and tried everything to stay sane: worked out, picked up different hobbies, and spent time with friends.

I filled up my journals left and right. Spent time alone and cried it out when I needed to release emotions. This included talking to counselors too…you name it, I did it!

After doing what I needed to tap into my intuition, I decided to move back to Washington DC, where I had previously lived prior to working overseas.

Within 24 hours of landing on U.S. soil, I bought my 1st home and 2nd car. The realtor said it was the fastest she’s ever sold anything!

No, these weren’t quarter-life crisis purchases, distraction outlets, or retail therapy buys. I tapped into my intuition despite all the chaos surrounding me.

How was I able to make such large purchases so quickly, with confidence, and no buyer’s remorse? How was I able to manifest so many milestone breakthroughs in my personal and professional life so quickly?

When you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or just depleted, consider the following 3 ways to start clearing space and creating energy to get your bounce back.

1. Reevaluate the company you keep: Many times, we are not aware how much other people’s habits can influence our own. Keep in mind the quote by Jim Rohn: “You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.

Who are the top 5 people you spend the most time with? Are the peeps in your inner circle always venting about office drama? Or are they supportive, hilarious, inspiring?

Are there any habits you’ve taken on from those around you? Perhaps there are folks you may consider spending more time with to increase the positive influence.

Or maybe there are others that you may need to consider distancing yourself from to reduce the negative influence.

2. Modest splurge: What modest splurge will you treat yourself to today?

When we treat ourselves, this can lift the mood. On the energetic level, a modest splurge can help to raise your vibration.

Why pay attention to your vibrational frequency? Raising your vibrations to match the frequency of where you want to be in your personal and professional life helps speed up your manifestation.

According to the law of attraction, raising your vibrations allows you to better attract who and what you want into your life!

So maybe you’ve been wanting to get that manicure or massage. Whether it is a product or a service, treat yourself without feeling guilty!

3. Detach: Is there a coworker, boss, friend, or family member that is driving you crazy lately? Perhaps it is time to consider to just let them be and do your own thing.

Start by emotionally and energetically detaching from them.

Not saying you need to cut ties with all friends or family members that are emotionally draining to be around, but recognize when healthy energetic boundaries are necessary.
